Janice Baris is an awesome singer with a smooth and enchanting voice. She has performed at concerts, theater, fashion shows, and as a finalist in YTV's Vocal Spotlight. With two CD releases as a member of the vocal group Tegancat and a release with Canadian band TRU22 Janice has become a natural in the studio and on stage. As part of the ongoing project team at Tegancat Music she does a lot of recording and live performing for the various music projects there. Not only a great lead vocalist, Janice has the perfect voice for full, rich and thick background vocal and harmony work. She has recorded background vocals for Grace Murillo's 2006 perfect plan album and has recently recorded backups for vocalist Courtney Parker's 2007 album keep this real. Janice also plays keyboards and sings backup vocals with TRU22, an ongoing project band that backs up various singers and did a string of gigs supporting Grace's and Courtney's releases. Janice is a featured artist on a Tegancat Music various artists album - LISTEN, with three great songs demonstrating her awesome talent. She was recently "Manitoba Artist of the day" and continues to get airplay on CBC radio. Currently Janice sings backup vocals and plays keyboards in "the 62 Impalas", a band supporting vocalist Kim Reimer and her new album Let's Get Away.
